Wingbreaker a shooting game with a difference - iOS Exclusive

“Wingbreaker” is available exclusively on iOS platforms, and is compatible with iPhones or iPod Touch devices that are 3rd generation or newer, and on all iPad devices.
“Wingbreaker” is free to download; Riggerman Games are also planning to release the game on Android platforms should the iOS version prove successful.

“Wingbreaker” is an innovative arcade shooting adventure, with a unique blend of 3D graphics and 2D gameplay for users to enjoy. “Wingbreaker” is aimed at both casual and committed gamers that are looking for an exciting challenge on the move when they are unable to access a games console.

In “Wingbreaker,” the users’ first objective is to customise their gunship and starting weapons as they wish. During the gameplay of “Wingbreaker” itself, the users’ objective is to battle their way through a collection of increasingly tough levels and satisfying pre-determined mission objectives prior to the final showdown with a boss.

There are two control methods available to players of “Wingbreaker.” Users can either control their ship by tilting their device in the desired direction of travel, using their thumbs on either side of the screen to fire their ships’ weapons, or a touchpad based method where one pad controls the ship, and another the usage of weapons.

“Wingbreaker” features two in-game playing modes, Mission and Arcade.

In “Wingbreaker’s” Mission mode, there are 22 levels to be completed and set objectives to be achieved in order to successfully “finish” the game. Arcade mode is slightly different, with an infinite number of varying and challenging levels, where the objective of the user is to achieve as high a score as possible in order to top the global leaderboards. At the beginning of “Wingbreaker,” all of the in-game weapons and features are locked, only accessible through completing the in-game missions or purchasing an IAP at a cost of $1.99.

“Wingbreaker” features an in-game trophy room with 20 unlockable achievements, enough to keep even the most skilled gamer glued to their screen for hours on end.

Intriguingly, only 17 of the achievements are visible to the user, with the remaining three hidden for discovery within the game. “Wingbreaker” also utilises social media integration within the game, with options to post scores achieved within Arcade mode direct to a users’ Facebook or Twitter account. Should gamers wish to do so, they can even upload screenshots of “Wingbreaker” to Facebook as they are playing.

Announcing the launch of “Wingbreaker,” Riggerman Games founder and CEO Richard Kazuo said, “I am delighted to have reached this stage with our first game, and we are very proud of the final result. I welcome any and all feedback around all aspects of the game, and plan on personally responding to each message I receive.”

Zaxxon Escape game coming soon to mobile devices

Thirty years ago, a primal force from the back of the alphabet invaded arcades in an isometric science fiction environment: Zaxxon, one of SEGA’s oldest of old-school salvos in the arcade wars of the early 80s.

Now, we are proud to announce the return of Zaxxon — or more appropriately, the escape: Escape From Zaxxon is coming soon to iPhone, iPad, and Google Play devices!

The all new game follows in the arcade footsteps — a fast-paced game to challenge your skills and take command of the Zaxxon ship all over again.

Thirty years ago, the first wave of arcade fever was hitting America: a communal electronic experience unlike anything else, early arcade cabinets would bind a generation of kids together as shorthand for their shared experiences with an emerging art form (even if back then, no one wanted to call it that).

Let’s not be too fancy, though: arcade games were about fun and challenge. The best games had to be hard enough to take in money, but fun enough that you’d want to keep coming back. Zaxxon was indeed painfully difficult, but wanting to fly a starship against an alien horde is one of the most primal forces known to humankind.

B.A.S.E. Jumper game goes live to download - play free with our link

B.A.S.E. Jumper sets players the task of completing incredibly dangerous B.A.S.E. jumps from buildings, antennas, spans (as in bridges) and earth (as in cliff tops). Players must guide the titular B.A.S.E. Jumper to terra firma and into the safety of his friends as the local sheriff patrols, hell-bent on catching the player in the act.

Obstacles such as cranes, boulders, trees, bungee jumpers and zip liners all conspire to get in the way of each descent, with each discipline coming with its own unique set of obstacles according to theme. A jump from a building will see cranes and police nets in the way, while a jump from a power line antenna is strewn with high-voltage hazards. With four worlds to dive through and more than 60 achievements to unlock, B.A.S.E. Jumper is the ultimate parachute dive for all platforms and devices.

“B.A.S.E. Jumper is the first title we’ve launched across so many platforms simultaneously,” said Stuart Poole, head of publishing at YoYo Games. “This achievement highlights the incredible flexibility and power of GameMaker: Studio’s one-button export functionality and represents an immense saving in time and resources for developers compared to ‘hard way’ porting by coding a version for each platform.”

B.A.S.E Jumper pricing varies by platform:

App Store and iTunes – $0.99
Amazon App Store – $0.99
Chrome – Free
Facebook – Free
Google Play – $0.99

Players are sure to have a frightfully fun time helping Dracula book rooms, deliver room service, and attend to guests’ needs, while preparing a special 118th birthday surprise for his vampire daughter, Mavis. Dracula is in for a surprise when human Jonathan stumbles into the hotel – the first human ever to discover the monsters-only retreat!

Players begin in the main lobby of the hotel and journey through 30 exciting levels and two additional hotel wings, renovating and improving the hotel as they go. In true Dash fashion, Hotel Transylvania Dash challenges players to race against the clock and juggle multiple demands from lively monster guests, including the SwampMonster’s requests for fresh towels and Mrs. Blob’s double order of room service to feed her monster appetite! For Drac, catering to these infamous friends is no problem — but his world could come crashing down when a human stumbles on the hotel for the first time and befriends Mavis. Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile out now - iOS

Capcom confirm that Street Fighter x Tekken Mobile is available in the App Store from today for the initial promotional price of $2.99.

Based on the critically acclaimed home console release but with a complete redesign of controls with mobile devices in mind, Street Fighter x Tekken Mobile features brand new modes and a new take on the tag team mechanic. With a choice of ten characters, the balanced roster includes Ryu and Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series, and Kazuya and Nina from the Tekken series.

Street Fighter x Tekken Mobile introduces Gauntlet Mode, where players can put their speed and skill to the test in a timed survival mode.

Players can take on fighters around the world over Wi-Fi, or battle with friends over Bluetooth. The game is compatible with Game Center, so players can work their way up the global Street Fighter x Tekken Mobile rankings.

Street Fighter x Tekken Mobile is compatible with iOS 5 or higher, and playable on iPhone 4 and 4S, iPod touch 4th Gen or later, iPad 2 and the New iPad.

Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile is based on the console version of SFxT but with a few twists: The controls and feel of the game are very familiar to Street Fighter IV Volt players and the Tag formula has been reimagined to make the matches a lot faster and more dynamic.

In SFxT Mobile you still get to choose 2 fighters: a primary and a secondary character. Your secondary character does not have a health bar; instead, he or she works more like an enhanced assist character that has a small timer. If your secondary character gets hit, the timer runs faster, and when it's over, one more hit and you're out temporarily. Then your primary character comes back to the arena. If your primary character runs out of health, you lose the round. It's simple to grasp and it's definitely a lot of fun!

The gems and Pandora mode have also been reworked. Every time you hit a launcher, a gem roulette is triggered, activating a random gem at the end. And Pandora mode now sacrifices your secondary character for the temporary health and attack boost; once the timer runs out, you star losing your health, but you only lose the round if you get hit - kind of like Dark Phoenix in MvC3.

One more thing: you can remap all the on-screen buttons! You can drag them to be lined up on the side of the screen, or put them into an Arcade stick button layout... it's definitely a great feature - especially for iPad users!
